"I'm Going Slightly Mad" written by Matthew Jenner
While I quite enjoyed this little bait, the character of Penelope really irritated me. I'm not a Miranda Hart fan (I thought her scenes in "Spy" were among the weaker parts of the film) and her whole character seemed like an amalgamation of the Tina Fey, Amy Schumer, Broad City kind of female comic character that we;ve grown so accustomed to seeing. Because of that, it lost a bit of it's appeal. This isn't one of your best baits but the story was cute and your writing (as usual) is incredible. Good job.
"I'm Not Jessica Chastain" written by MArci
I was really expecting more from this bait! I think the premise itself is so hilarious that I hope to see more of a Bryce Dallas Howard mocking herself kind of thing, where Jessica Chastain started appearing in films as both of them and Bryce went crazy trying to prove to people that she is not in fact JEssica Chastain. Instead, we kind of just have a weird mix of press events and real life events that don''t reallt add up to much. Not your best, Marci.
"The Fortune Teller" written by Marci
I didn't love this bait, but it's one of the best of the month for me because of the style in which it's written, as well as your attention to detail. Lily Collins is a standout here and should get a nomination, as could Malese Jow. I think that this series has potential to be something special, but there needs to be just a little more direction and a clearer plot and focus. Good work though, this is a huge improvement for me over the first part.
"The Bicycle Thieves" written by MAtthew Jenner
I really, really enjoyed this bait. I liked the simplicity of the story as well as the morose feel and the not so happy ending. I think sometimes films need to be heartbreaking to get their message across. Borle and Gluck in particular are fantastic and this is one of the best baits I've read this month. Fantastic, excellent job!
"Dollhouse" written by Marci
Katerina I'm so happy to see her again and welcome her back to the contest. I didn't really understand this bait. The whole game setup didn't really make sense to me as if it was a torture chamber, why would the girls have nothing happen until the last few hours of the game? I thought some parts were really engaging and well-written but the sum of the parts was a far cry from your best works.
