Our Hometown

Plot
A little long, however engaging. Dysfunctional family dramas/comedies are one of hardest genres to write, mainly because of the amount of the family members you need to have. You do really well at including a range of diverse characters into one story. There are a couple of direct similarities August: Osage Country moments e.g. Rose hitting Eugene with a frypan seemed familiar, but I think there a sense of originality and heart in the overall piece, which is very rare to find in this genre.
Cast
A big, but well casted ensemble. The main concern for me with having a big cast like this in this type of story makes it very difficult to get nominations for them, as they are work off each other and it’s hard to single them out. Michael C. Hall is the person who is most likely to earn an nomination. I think it’s combination of solid character development with an inspiring cast choice, but he sort of took stole the bait for me. I felt the most connected to that character.
Awards Campaign
Too short. For longer baits, you need a longer campaign, in order to justify a more larger plot and characters. You use sophisticated language, but I would suggest you state some more elaborate idea to really persuade readers to vote for your bait. However, I think it was well-written and justified the your bait really well
Crew
Todd Field is a fine choice for the director, however I don’t know how he would handle the sort of more goofy and comedic aspects of the story. Creative crew is good.

Fears of a Clown

Plot
Short and Sweet. I understand you want to follow the day-to-day live of Wally Kogen, but I would’ve like to see a bit more emotional substance and resistance. This is my preference of what I would have liked to see in story, but it’s not my bait - it’s yours and the way you wrote it a structured it quite intelligent and quirky.
Cast
Bill Murray! Thats all I can say! I think its a perfect and inspiring choice. The remanding ensemble is solid, but doesn’t even come close to Murray’s calibre that he has exemplified in this performance.
Awards Campaign
Short but suitable awards campaign. Justifies actors and the bait quite well.
Crew
Luke Matheny is very good for this bait. Excellent choice!

Death Be Not Proud

Plot
I love this story. Quite an interesting thing to depict, and your writing elevates it completely. My only issues is I occasionally was a bit lost with the story, as it is very intricate. Very good plot.
Cast
You have two very good leads, are accurately portray the real people. I really like Jefferson Mays in role. He is such a versatile actor, and wouldn’t be surprised if he earned a Best Supporting Actor nomination. Good cast.
Awards Campaign
Short and I found it wasn’t particularly persuasive - you really need to justify you bait in your awards campaign and I found it was lacking a bit.
Crew
I am slightly skeptical of Martin McDonagh, however I understand that he could do wonders with this material

Plot
Really well constructed plot. I throughly enjoyed you using inner thoughts to move the story along. It usually makes writing quite clunky, but it worked here. Each character was well established. Great plot!
Cast
Well casted ensemble. Each character suited roles quite well. I really liked Robert Sheehan, as sort of the stories protagonist. Solid cast
Awards Campaign
Solid awards campaign with persuasive arguments.
Crew
Shane Meadows is a fine director choice and would defiantly do justice to this like material. Fantastic choice.

Plot
Potentially a great idea! The execution was solid with quite a complex topic, that I thought you worked really well with. Religion baits are one the hardest ones to write.
Cast
Dennis Quaid stole it for me! Good ensemble!
Awards Campaign
Short and but I thought it well - written and persuasive.
Crew
I am slightly skeptical of Ang Lee, but he does have great range and could really do wonders with the project.

Absolutely agree and love it!

Plot
I really like it. I think this the best bait you have written. It’s well-written and an intriguing story, and I not a huge fan of these types of baits - but the way you have written it really caught me. Fantastic work!
Cast
Analiegh Tipton sort of stole the bait for me. A small but pivotal role that captured me. Solid ens

I think Abrams is the perfect choice. Excellent!

Plot
Quite an interesting plot! It was bit a predictable at the beginning, but the pace began to pick up as we continued on. Well Done!
Cast
A small, but excellent ensemble. Everyone fits their roles quite well. I like how you continue to use Shane Harper, he brilliant.
Awards Campaign
Excellent! You are the King of Awards Campaigns! Perfect. Well-written and your bait is perfectly justified.
Crew
Chazelle is a solid director choice, and would do well. The pet peeve about this bait is the title. I don’t like and it irritates me because I like everything else about it.

Plot
This plot reminds me why you are a 4-time BP winner. Yes a bit long, but intriguing and emotional. You write so effortless and descriptive. Excellent job!
Cast
Solid cast! I am big fan of Fanning, considering I won her first Academy Award, so hopefully you can win her her second
Judy Greer is good and this role would quite a game changer for her. However, my favourite is Gavin Caslegno, who would be spectacular.
Awards Campaign
You are the King of Awards Campaigns!
Crew
Zeitlinis a solid director choice, and would do well.

Plot
This plot reminds me of Navigating Early, which isn’t a bad thing. But, it didn’t blow me away like that bait did though. However, it is very well written and I think you children centric bait so well.
Cast
Solid cast!. I like Wiggins alot, I haven’t seem n a lot, but I can see that he would bring great nuance and also innocence to the character of Brian. I like Ben Affleck and think he would do a better job as an actor in this sort of film. Fine ensemble.
Awards Campaign
Very good Awards Campaign. Justified your bait well.
Crew
I don’t Affleck as the director. I can understand the direction you are trying to take, however I don’t if I feel like his strengths would lend to this sort of film.

Poignant and metaphorical. I liked it
